Lunches and dining
Lunch is not provided at the conference. There are several options for lunch nearby with reasonably priced (ca 3-6 €) daily offers: Cafe Gaudeamus (on the first floor of the library), Vilde & Vine, Cafe Shakespeare, Entri and Vaga Mama.
The dinner on September 26 will be at Ülikooli Kohvik (Ülikooli 20) and the joint reception with Baltic HLT Conference on September 27 will take place at Tartu Loodusmaja (Lille 10).
For dining Umbroht, Aparaat, Dolce Vita, Pahupidi Kohvik (vegan) and Meat Market are recommended.
Transportation
Bus
Tartu Bus Station is in the city centre and only 15 min walk from the conference venue. Bus tickets are available at tpilet.ee. It is best to buy them in advance. Buses also stop at Tallinn Airport. No need to print out the tickets, if you can show the ticket from your smartphone.
Train
From Tallinn trains are also an option to reach Tartu. Tickets are available online at elron.ee and can also be bought on the train.
Plane
When flying to Tallinn you can get a bus to Tartu straight from the airport. From Helsinki you can also fly directly to Tartu airport. Airport shuttle is available for getting into the city centre.
Accommodation
There are no special rates for conference participants. However there are number of reasonably priced and close-by options available: Dorpat Hotel, Hotel Tartu, Academus Hostel, Hektor Design Hostel and London Hotel.
